Extreme cases can lead to acute urinary retention (inability to urinate). <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treatment of Urethral Stricture<\/h3>\n\n<p>In general, the treatment for urethral stricture is surgical, with the main modalities being:<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Urethral dilations<\/h4>\n\n<p>In this type of treatment, the urologist inserts several probes into the urethra, widening the canal.
